Dear students, friends, BROTHERS AND SISTERS of the wonderful world of Erasmus…
WELCOME to Madrid!
The time has come for you to land in Madrid, with your suitcases and hearts full of excitement
and hope! You have NO idea of the amazing things that are in store!
So, you’ve just moved to Madrid, huh? They probably told you how hard it can be to find accommodation in Madrid, right? If not, you might be in for quite a surprise.
We as CATS we really want you to make the most of your wonderful Eramus opportunity in our city, so we’ve come up with something little for you: a “ERASMUS OFFER” for every Erasmus in
Madrid to help you along the way.
FLAT RATE 18€ per bed per night + FREE BREAKFAST + 1 FREE BEER/SANGRIA
Accommodation in 8-bed dorm (or superior) only shared with ERASMUS
FREE BREAKFAST: (from 8-10am) so you can gain strength for the day that awaits you. You can fully recharge yourself to face the hard day of searching for a flat.
FREE DRINK: beer or sangría at our bars (from 7pm to late). In the afternoon, when you come back from kicking Madrid, we invite you to a beer or sangría to “drown the sorrows” and share experiences with other Erasmus like you.
And to finish, the best reward. PUBCRAWL free when you get your final accommodation! Because finding a flat in Madrid is a great challenge, so we want to celebrate it with you!
Our first recommendation is to do your research prior to your arrival…
Get an idea of the neighborhood you’d like to live in and before your arrival, I suggest booking temporary accommodations (CATS HOSTELS, NO DOUBT!) in Madrid for at least a week. It may take longer than a week, or you may find somewhere in a day or two. But, it’s always good to at least have somewhere to stay for a week as it’s one less thing to worry about.
Madrid has a lot of districts – most young people prefer to live close to the city centre. Here are a few of the most popular central neighborhoods:
Malasaña – Very hip, with some of the best and quirky restaurants and cafes.
La Latina – Close to practically everything, with a very good atmosphere.
Lavapiés – Multicultural, fantastic local vibe, the best food in the city.
Retiro – Close to Atocha train station and Retiro park – calm area.
Moncloa – Perfect choice for students, close to Madrid universities but still very central.
Chueca – One of the most LGBT-friendly neighborhoods, buzzing with restaurants, shops and clubs.
HOW YOU CAN TAKE SPECIAL ERASMUS OFFER?:
- Book a bed in our official website: catshostels.com
